Not much for the deluded person either, actually. Just for their right to believe whatever idiotic thing they want. How would I stop them anyway?

and respecting the beliefs themselves. I respect the former, but not the latter, especially when they make no sense.

on superstition and mythology, but that doesn't mean they are worthy of respect. Produce some facts and evidence and then we'll talk.

at separating what pops into my head with what pops out of my mouth, what I think and what I say are the same:

You have every right to believe however you want, but I am not going to respect that belief. I think it is superstitious drivel. Oops, did I say that second part out loud.

I tend to say, while I acknowledge your right to any belief system you find comforting I refuse to respect any belief system that inherently identifies non-believers or alternate beliefs as heretical. I'm not obligated to respect a belief system that's comfortable identifying second class citizens.
