I have watched hundreds of past episodes and I watch the new shows on Sunday at 5:30.

I miss Jeff Dee.

Matt Dillahunty has a show on Wednesday nights called the Hang Up.

Jeff Dee has a podcast called the Non-Prophets.

It is not a call in show.

Jeff and others sit around and discuss religion.

I have enjoyed some of his films, and actually read a bit more about him after tonight’s show.

Admitting he’s an atheist is a plus.

but good that he publicly stated it. I guarantee there are so many atheists existing in our world, but are maybe uncomfortable about admitting it. Hell, I bet some even attend church every week.

I know that living in the bible belt can be especially difficult. So many people just assume everyone is "a good christian" and they'll ask where you attend church. I know I've lied to so many people over the years. I'm thankful I've moved away from those small towns in east Texas. I haven't been asked that question in 6 years now. I used to be asked several times a month while working in a damn grocery store.

IMDB Quotes

There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you."

(That's obviously way too long to be a single Bible verse.)

Maybe Samuel L. Jackson is also an atheist.

The passage from the Bible that Jules has memorized was mostly made up by Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson. The first part about the righteous man and the tyranny of evil men is not real. However the second half, "And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee", is a direct quote from Ezekiel 25:17. It's likely that Tarantino included it as a reference to the Shin'ichi "Sonny" Chiba film Bodigaado Kiba (1973) as the quote is almost word for word from the opening scene. Tarantino has also said that he is big fan of the actor, and is therefore likely to have seen the movie.

It's not what I'd call religion-friendly to depict a hitman using religion to justify cold-blooded murder.
