Hurricane Season

time to start watching those invests!

NHC is the go-to site for basic info.

Here are two of my fave pages for obsessive details about hurricanes and the weather that makes them:

Mike's weather page:https://spaghettimodels.com/
A page of data of various sorts and presentations that can lead to even more in-depth reporting of specific info, like spaghetti models, for those of you who like the colorful visuals of model runs.

Storm 2K.org: http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=120453&sid=9906ac0ec404d84956314f757a785e22
Lots of professionals and pro wannabees hang out here and discuss storms in excruciating but entertaining detail if you like all the technical aspects.

There's another one that is very good when you are anxiously watching a storm creeping in your direction.

2. I just asked Google when hurricane season is.

I added North America to the search. I got 2 conflicting answers.

Can you tell me, please?

3. Officially, in the US and Carribean Islands,

June 1-November 30.

Peak time for Hurricanes is Aug. 15-October. September is "pearl-clutching" month, if you live on the Gulf or Atlantic.
