'Tonight is officially Venus's brightest evening in years!
Our "sister planet" reaches its "greatest illuminated extent" at 9 P.M. EDT -- though you can look west any time after sunset to see Venus unusually high and brilliant. It's safe to say that you’ve never seen it looking better, not in your whole life. See Bob's post:

2. Ya,... well isn't that nice,....
..... it has been cloudy and raining fir the last few day up here in Maine. This afternoon it was spitting snowflakes,... I was spitting nails.
We have been smothered in cloud cover. PLEASE INFORM US up here what a delight the celestial show was with Venus was all about. All we can see is clouds and inclement weather. Anybody up for a midnite snowball fight ? |
