Weather service to investigate 2 tornadoes in eastern Pennsylvania, 2 in N.J.

The National Weather Service is planning to send a survey team to two sites in New Jersey and two in eastern Pennsylvania to investigate the strength of four tornadoes that touched down as Tropical Storm Isaias tore through the region Tuesday.

The weather service’s Mount Holly office says it will take several days to complete the surveys, because they also have to check out two other tornadoes that struck in their forecast coverage area — one twister in Maryland and one in Delaware.

Teams of meteorologists will analyze the damage and talk to local emergency management officials to determine the strength and path of each tornado.

One tornado was seen spinning on the ground in Upper Township in Cape May County Tuesday morning as Tropical Storm Isaias was pushing its way through southern New Jersey, while a second tornado was spotted near Barnegat Township in Ocean County.

Article has lots of links to tornado footage if you like that kind of stuff.
