I-81 Snow squall pile up. Schuylkill County, PA - March 28th As It Happens

Man, some of those drivers were going way too fast for conditions. Growing up in a Lake Michigan snow belt, you learn to slow way down when the snow bands move inland. Condolences to the families of the 5 fatalities.

Even the damned tow truck! Didn't seem like anyone had chains applied either. Most weren't even aware enough to get away from their car if they got out of it.

People think they are in little armored cars when, in reality, most are like a beer can on wheels in a crash like this.

Slowing down is like a hanging offense to some, avoid at all costs, much like being first in line.
