Merry Christmas 2018!!

Just want you guys and gals to know I'm thinking of you all! Yeah, we may have enjoyed better ones in the past, but we're here and we can celebrate.....whether it be alone, with family or just friends. It's the reason for the season! I still check-in here weekly. I quit posting much on DU, but I do visit daily, and have for the past 17 years. After that long, I don't have a lot to say, and I darn sure have had enough arguing, but there are people here I consider friends, and I am eternally grateful for them!

Here's a good toast I have been using for years on special occasions-

There are ships made of wood, and ships that are good, and ships that sail the sea. But the best ships are friendships!!! May they always be!

I always remember at Christmas that my maternal grandmother died on Christmas Eve (62 years ago).
It was sudden and unexpected; a heart attack.
I was 10 years old.

I've been so absent this year it's not been my best.
I was in Hospital 3 times in the last 12 an never for less than 22.5 wks at a time.
I even had the pleasure(dis) of staying in a nursing home for 2 weeks.wow.Thankfully we don't have many posts that need moderating but should we ever, I'd like to put you as a co-admin to the group. Would that be acceptable to you my friend?

5. I dont normally check in here every day....

...but I do get on DU just about daily. I'd be glad to help you out. Don't really know what an admin does here, but I did admin a political site many years ago....it was a message board site, but we had about 20 regulars and it ran for 4 or 5 years before we all got burned out!
