Lost my little sister one month ago today

She died very suddenly. Only 55 years old. She smoked, wouldn’t take her meds for diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. She also had FASD and Aspergers. She wouldn’t listen to anyone. I feel guilty nonetheless. I miss her.

I wish you the peace that passes understanding at this hard time and I hope you can learn to drop the guilt.

I come from a big family, and all that's left now is my little brother and I.

As President Biden says--someday you will remember her with a smile instead of tears.

Take care of yourself. I'm sure you did the best you could for her.

Thank you, everyone, for your kindness. I just miss her so much. But I’m focusing on honoring her memory, yet moving into the future.
