My brother died in August of 2021.

His widow has had his ashes all this time. Finally, we found a spot for him in a cemetery in the town where we grew up.

We had his funeral in August of 2021.

Saturday, there was a brief commitment ceremony by the pastor, now retired, who was also his close friend. His widow was there, and his four children.

I guess everyone feels a sense of closure and farewell now.

Goodbye, little brother.

We kept our youngest sister’s ashes for some time until big sis could travel.
So hard to say goodbye to younger siblings.

My husband died in 2019 and I still have his ashes. My daughter suggested that we spread them over his parents grave so that's what we are going to do.

We have his ashes -- actually my sister has them -- and we will eventually get them to the place he wants them scattered. Heck, it only took us 10 years to get our mom's ashes to where she wanted them scattered.

Sometimes, it takes time.
