Two questions. Sens. Thune and Rounds, Rep. Johnson: who won the election? And how long does the charade go on?

The answer to the first isn’t really that tough, considering every element of law and facts support the only rational answer: Joe Biden. Yet, according to a poll of Republicans in Congress by the Washington Post, released yesterday, only 27 of 249 Pubs serving in Congress are willing to say that Trump lost.

I’ve been searching for a list of the names of those 27 adherents to reality but keep coming up short (help me if you can, readers). It would be most illuminating to us South Dakotans if we knew how our Sens. Mike Rounds and John Thune and our Rep. Johnson (seen above in an image from Dakota News Now), Republicans all, felt about the outcome.

CNN a few days ago, November 30, asked Thune why he won’t call Biden the President-elect and got a weirdly obfuscational response. Said Thune: "Well, I mean, I don't agree. I don't think that gets decided until, whenever that is, the 14th of December, but I think as these states certify, it the trajectory is in that direction for sure." Thune extended the grammatical and syntactical mish-mash by saying “Well my concern again is that the we have a transition, which is, I think, at least now you can describe as underway, and hopefully orderly and well that's, that's what's important in my view.” Could you imagine trying to diagram that doozy of a sentence?

In his halting, faltering way, Thune basically said that he knows Biden is the President-elect but can’t say it out loud for fear of offending the Trumpista-saturated GOP in South Dakota.
