Buddhist bodhisattva cat.

There is a story about Ramana Maharshi and a cow that came to his Ashram that was very spiritually developed. After the cow, (named Lakshmi) died Ramana said, when asked, that an animal can attain enlightenment and sometimes even a flower. Although both are very rare. He did not directly say that Lakshmi attained enlightenment but the man telling the story implied that he thought that is what happened with Lakshmi.

Zen kitty monk. Eckhart Tolle often refers to animals as excellent teachers and I think we can learn much from them just as they are.
