Chiyonofuji (the Wolf) dead of pancreatic cancer at 61.

I feel privileged to have been introduced to sumo while the Wolf was undisputed champion. He was incredible.

I watched him many times while I lived in Japan, unfortunately never in person. Somewhere I have a vhs tape with his first 1000 victories in condensed form.
Truly a great sportsman.
