Chu Hyun Mi sings Teresa Teng classic hit
This is an old Teresa Teng Taiwanese hit, the Moon Represents My Heart. It is a very pretty song, even though I don't understand all the words. The song was popular throughout East Asia. Chu Hyun Mi is a superstar from the eighties and nineties in Korea. Her father was Chinese and she does a very nice rendition of this favorite tune in Mandarin. I looked at a couple of translations and tried to give the idea below. There are recordings of Teng singing it with English subtitles over on youtube if you look hard enough. Teng was known for her simple and sincere lyrics. The romantic lyrics seem too naive for today's taste, and the translations awkward. I would have not used the word "represents" in a love song, but it's a beautiful sound. This is my favorite version of the song, demonstrating Chu Hyun Mi's great versatility and talent.
