My Mister (Korean: 나의 아저씨; RR: Na-ui ajeossi) is a 2018 South Korean television series starring Lee Sun-kyun and Lee Ji-eun. It aired on tvN in 2018 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:30 (KST) time slot.[2][3][4]

This is a serial Kdrama about contemporary life in the big city in South Korea. I'm only up through episode 5. Impressive acting and plot. It's a mature drama with adult themes, corporate intrigue, chosun hell, debt, blackmail, etc. It's pretty dark the first couple of episodes but the character development and plot draws in the audience. It's in the learning mode with subtitles in both English and Hangul. The dialogue is excellent. It's currently available on viki.com. I couldn't find it anywhere else on google search. The drama has won several awards. 16 episodes.

Of the three brothers who are characters in the plot, they all graduated college, but only one has a job.

This youtube teaser is something of a spoiler:

I haven't watched much now that I'm back in North America. But I love the story arcs, the characters, the innocence. The romance.

Although when I lived in Korea, the language was a barrier for me, even though I was studying it. Now I pretty much only watch Korean broadcasting. I still need subs to help me along with some programs. Even if it's just in hangul that's good enough. I've been using viki.com and ondemandkorea.com for entertainment.

I will have to look this one up just to see
Some things Korean you can get in Japan: EXO, BTS, BlackPink music and some Korean comedy/gag shows
I don't know if this ever came to Japan
