As an example of his empathy, she talks again about Mitt visiting the bedside of the boy dying of leukemia.. Every time Miss Ann wants to tell you about Mitt's great empathy and compassion, she trots this out. It was 30 years ago. Seriously, nothing since then? Is that his sole act of kindness in his lifetime?

He used to strap his dog to the roof
