I know we can't get complacent, but

I have a hard time understanding all the "Mitt can still win it" posts here, articles and columns out there in the media and on the internets.

1. Mitt has never, to the best of my recollection, polled above Obama.
2. In almost all of the so-called swing states, Obama is well ahead of Mitt. And getting farther ahead every day.
3. Demographics are on our side.

I do realize that these next two are very important cautions to my optimism:
4. Republican administrations, especially in the above-named swing states, are doing their best to suppress any voters not likely to vote Republican.
5. Even without active voter suppression, there seems to be good reason to fear that black, hispanic, and young voters simply may turn out in the numbers they did four years ago.

I honestly think it's going to be a blow-out in the end, even though recently Nate Silver, who was so amazingly good in 2008, is continuing the drumbeat of "Obama is weak, Mitt could defeat him" on his website.

at least according to a guest on Jenifer Grand holm's war room last evening (sorry didn't get the name)....if that is true that still leaves the machine tampering issue, there are still many machines that can be tampered with as well as vote manipulation during tabulation ect..

there also seems to be an effort to recruit right wing goons as "poll watchers" to intimidate if they can.. also partisan boards can mis allocate machines more to republican precincts less to us..

I'm sure that Turd Blossom, and company will use every means at their disposal to try to distort the count...

the good news is that Rummney and company are in complete disarray... I'm cautiously optimistic

...it's kind of funny, but also a little disturbing. If the people don't want you, then that's that, the people reject you. I don't understand the meltdown going on in the right wing world.
Maybe they would try something rash. I just can't trust them to be rational human beings.
