Related: About this forumMy 3rd time for this poll, Who do you want to be the Democratic nominee?
Bernie was at 80% in the other polls, I am curious if he still maintains this lead....

(34,845 posts)I still prefer to wait and see without hitching my wagon to one or the other because either Clinton or Sanders will make a fine President, disregarding the antics of their followers.

I think all of them are good, and would all be substantially better than the Republican candidates.
I don't see much difference between them, so I really don't care which one wins. I think one side has more obnoxious posters here, but that isn't a reflection on that candidate.

(15,435 posts)I know Hillary is smart and competent, but she's so tied to TPTB and I truly believe this country HAS GOT TO stop helping those at the top and focus on "we the people!" There should be NO DOUBT that Americans on both sides of the aisle are FED UP with the status quo and are making their voices heard.
Those of us who support Bernie know this isn't going to very easy because MOST of D.C., Wall Street, Big Corporations & Big Pharma/Medical Companies have so MUCH POWER! We ARE up against so many POWER HOUSES who hold 2/3rds of the cards, if not more.
So in essence THEY don't want things to change in any way!!!!
Have some very good news I just heard on Thom Hartmann's show. Tim Canova, who is running against DWS launched his campaign last Thursday and said he's gotten over 1000 donations over the week end, all small amounts. Says he's not taking Corporate money and that his FB page is really attracting so many positive comments. BIG DEAL! But again... it's DWS so here we go again!

(15,435 posts)to see how strong Bernie has become, and the fact that he's been able to generate so much attention, more people are testing the waters. I think he's really started a trend and his strength has given others the boost they needed to get in the ring. Had Bernie not decided to run I doubt this would be happening.
Bernie has awakened "we the people" in a very different way than Obama and he CAN have coat tails. If he fails to become the nominee, I think what he's done so far will have a lasting affect on thousands of people who may never thought they themselves could win. A special plus that he's added FOR this country!

I doubt people here are changing their minds. At least not so many that a poll will reflect it.

(80,708 posts)I don't have any great hopes that that particular piece of mis-attribution will go away, but I do keep plugging at it. Go figure.
It's just sort of a pet peeve- Einstein was a brilliant theoretician, and I guess it bugs me a bit to see his name used to make these sorts of tepid 12 step-isms sound more authoritative.
Simple fact of the matter is, sometimes doing the same thing DOES get different results, and even when it doesn't, that's not "insanity".
None of this is intended as criticism of you; plus, I know it's an easy thing to throw out there, and it probably has a kernel of truth in there somewhere.
