Today, Burnt Orange Report received the photo at right, taken in front of a home in Northwest Austin. The resident, a Republican, lynched an empty chair from a tree in his yard, which one can easily interpret to represent a racially motivated act of violence against the President.

3. That's not a good idea

If the guy is doing something illegal or out of code, then it will probably be dealt with.

But you do not have a right to go onto his property and vandalize it.

There are some who would consider this ignorant dumbfuck to be exercising a First Amendment right. Depending on whether this symbolic speech is a threat against the president, then it may or may not be.

But, if it is speech and not an actionable threat which authorities will address, then to use force against, or violate the property of, someone who at least believes he is exercising his right to say hateful, malicious and provocative things, should be against the principles of many liberals.

That's not to say I know what I would or wouldn't do if it was in my neighborhood, but I think we could get a content neutral code or regulation on whether one can leave a rope hanging from a tree not in active use for work. Or something to that effect.

you get the HOA newsletter. The final page has the message, "POOP BAG ATTACHED! IF YOU DON’T OWN A DOG PLEASE SHARE IT WITH A NEIGHBOR WHO DOES. LET’S GET THE POO OFF OUR STREETS!" repeated 8 times on the page. I guess the poop bags are large enough to accommodate the shit who did this.
