(99,710 posts)If the GOP wanted to run against Clinton in the general election they wouldn't do anything to weaken her or make her lose in the Primary.
I will pre-empt any rebuttals by stating the opposite:
If the GOP didn't want to run against Clinton in the general election they would do everything possible to weaken her or make her lose in the Primary.

(12,655 posts)if its rovian, i am sure it is loathesome, but i would like to see what we are talking about.

(99,710 posts)Rove isn't stupid. He is attacking her from her left.

(1,095 posts)To a tee.

(99,710 posts)What is disingenuous is he is using the same money to spend on attacking her that he decries her for raising.
I don't like Repubs gaming our Primary but it is not unexpected.

(18,115 posts)Hillary decries the super PAC big money, yet coordinates with one to attack Bernie. Disingenuous is a charitable description.

(12,655 posts)rove is scum, but the ad is nothing out of his wheelhouse. they think they can predict voter thinking and they have failed so many times already. the "red menace" ads against bernie are sure to follow....

(12,655 posts)typical rove. as if the repubs have a leg to stand on when it comes to being owned by big money.

(45,806 posts)I'd have to say no to all of them.
Actually, I'd LOVE to see ALL negative (personal attack) ads GONE! But we all know that will never happen.

It also shows the danger of SuperPACS.

(3,316 posts)No pun intended
saltpoint
(50,986 posts)to me because all I really know of him is his stooge-like supplication to George W. Bush and the nearly constant propaganda he spews as a network political "analyst."
He must have seen early on where the levers of power were positioned, and managed to park himself as close to them as possible. Unfortunately for the citizens of the country, that was very close indeed.

(10,123 posts)I haven't seen the ads but if they're classic Rove, they're probably dishonest.
In general however, looking past who is doing it and what they're specifically saying, the GOP have weighed in on Dem primaries for a long time. In this particular case, making the primary tighter for Hillary so that she has to spend more money to beat Bernie while laying the foundation for cutting her to pieces in the general election is not a bad campaign strategy. I cannot fault them for that part - even though I'd prefer they didn't do that against a party I support.

(4,377 posts)A disingenuous, dishonest Republican hack does exactly what you'd expect him to do, and you ask a forum full of Democrats if they approve?
Vinca
(50,260 posts)He seems to think if he takes Hillary out, Bernie won't be able to beat the GOP candidate . . . despite numerous polls saying the exact opposite.
