I was caught, red handed, with TS/SCI eMail - ASK ME ANYTHING....

Yep, it happened to me.

I don't work with classified material, but since I work for an organization that does, I get all the training, all the bulletins and am audited from time to time. Everything I do at work - including all eMail going to/from my work eMail address - is logged, recorded and may be reviewed. Hopefully not by a congressional lynch mob.

So, what happened?

When Snowden's revelations were breaking news, my spouse eMailed me a link from the Guardian which I naively clicked on and opened. Yep, there is was: TS/SCI intel right there on my work computer, infecting my eMail. I had just received a DISCO alert warning me that this could happen and that the information was (and, btw, still is) classified and cannot be viewed / stored on our general unclassified network!

This, of course, caused severe cognitive dissonance for the classified compliance professionals. They ended up issuing a special exception allowing us, in just this one case, to delete the TS/SCI information without turning ourselves in to the FBI. Whooo, that was close! Thank goodness, otherwise I'd be wearing orange overalls.

The fact is that this information is still TS/SCI. if Hillary has a link to one of Snowden's leaked power point slides in her inbox she is IN VIOLATION!!!
