Related: About this forumHillary campaign uses admitted liar that smeared Anita Hill to accuse Bernie of racism
This is the ad that David Brock claims proves that
black lives dont matter much to Bernie Sanders,
Now I sure as hell don't know how anyone could watch that video and think that it proves that "Black lives don't matter much to Bernie Sanders" but that is what David Brock claims.
David Brock is a former right-wing smear merchant who lied to destroy the reputation of Anita Hill. He has a past history as a racist smear merchant and yet he is the one the Hillary campaign chose to accuse Bernie Sanders of not caring about black lives.
The Clinton campaign is coordinating directly with Brock's Super PAC and so Hillary can be tied directly to these attacks.
We need to demand that Hillary condemn Brock and stop coordinating activities with Correct the Record. The only reason she is allowed to coordinate is because the campaign is exploiting a loophole in the law, generally coordination with Super PACs is illegal, but Hillary found a loophole in the law so she could directly coordinate with the guy who printed vicious lies about Anita Hill.
If Hillary wants to use a white guy with a history of racist smears to accuse Bernie of not caring about black lives she has the right to do that, but she should not be surprised when we call her out on her association with a guy that has a history of racist smears.

(3,133 posts)Here is a nice layout of David Brock and what is called media in the U.S.
Sale Of Blue Nation Review Gives Hillary Clinton Camp Its Very Own Media Outlet from the HuffPost Politics just a couple of excerpts: Hillary Clinton ally David Brock is acquiring a media outlet, sources involved in the negotiation and sale of the site tell The Huffington Post.
True Blue Media, a newly formed company incorporated by Brock, has acquired progressive news website Blue Nation Review. The sale was finalized Monday night.
And this about the author of your piece: Peter Daou, digital media strategist for Clinton's 2008 campaign, will serve as the new CEO of True Blue Media.
Now that puts things in their proper perspective ... PROPAGANDA!!!

She must be losing her mind, to be so stupid. Accusing Bernie of being racist and not caring about African Americans?
Hillary Clinton is, in effect, using "black lives" as a political weapon. She's exploiting people.
We know Hillary uses surrogates to mouth filthy attacks that she thinks will win her votes. Happened in 08. And here we are again.
I hope Clinton is trounced in the Iowa caucuses. Her special brand of pathological politics needs to be kicked to the curb.
If she's aware of and/or complicit in Brock's smarmy attacks, she must truly be losing her mind.
The Clinton campaign is coming off the rails, and she's going over that same 2008 precipice again.
The America ad is wonderfully positive and inspiring, and all the moreso when seen contrasted against her ugly attacks.

If you have evidence that she is "coordinating directly with Brock's Super PAC" then please provide it. All I see here is your unfounded claim.

Mr. Brock created the opposition research-focused super PAC American Bridge, the liberal watchdog group Media Matters, and the pro-Clinton group Correct the Record, which is now coordinating with Mrs. Clintons presidential campaign. He is also on the board of Priorities USA, the super PAC that hopes to raise large sums of money in support of Mrs. Clinton.
The question of how Mr. Brock would carry out roles with groups that have different legal definitions has come into clearer focus this week, as he is moving to the so-called coordinated side, working with Correct the Record alongside Mrs. Clintons campaign.
Mr. Brock confirmed the move, saying that the legal restrictions on his activities if he had remained on the so-called independent expenditure side of the groups were impractical. Such groups are forbidden from coordinating their work with the campaign.
He declined to get into specifics as to why, but people who have spoken with him say he was focused on paying attention to the activities of Correct the Record and Media Matters, which will play the biggest role in defending Mrs. Clinton throughout the campaign. Media Matters and another outlet that Mr. Brock is involved with, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, are nonpolitical 501c3 groups, which dont make independent expenditures.

Hillary Clintons campaign plans to work in tight conjunction with an independent rapid-response group financed by unlimited donations, another novel form of political outsourcing that has emerged as a dominant practice in the 2016 presidential race.
On Tuesday, Correct the Record, a pro-Clinton rapid-response operation, announced it was splitting off from its parent American Bridge and will work in coordination with the Clinton campaign as a stand-alone super PAC. The groups move was first reported by the New York Times.
That befuddled many campaign finance experts, who noted that super PACs, by definition, are political committees that solely do independent expenditures, which cannot be coordinated with a candidate or political party. Several said the relationship between the campaign and the super PAC would test the legal limits.
But Correct the Record believes it can avoid the coordination ban by relying on a 2006 Federal Election Commission regulation that declared that content posted online for free, such as blogs, is off limits from regulation. The Internet exemption said that such free postings do not constitute campaign expenditures, allowing independent groups to consult with candidates about the content they post on their sites. By adopting the measure, the FEC limited its online jurisdiction to regulating paid political ads.

The Clinton campaign itself is Correct the Records single biggest contributor, giving more than $275,000 to the super PAC.

(4,775 posts)It's widely known that they are of the opinion that an internet loophole in the laws regulating SuperPac behavior allows them to coordinate legally, and that the Clinton campaign and Brock's Correct The Record are doing exactly that.

(26,549 posts)Yet here you are, once again making the same false claim.
Clinton and Brock were so proud of their "Internet loophole" that they told the NYT they would coordinate when Correct the Record was set up.
