Not The Onion: Willard wants to know why airplane windows don't open!

This guy makes Dumbya look like a Rhodes scholar!

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-romney-beverly-hills-fundraiser-20120922,0,2317962.story

Romney’s wife, Ann, was in attendance, and the candidate spoke of the concern he had for her when her plane had to make an emergency landing Friday en route to Santa Monica because of an electrical malfunction.

“I appreciate the fact that she is on the ground, safe and sound. And I don’t think she knows just how worried some of us were,” Romney said. “When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous. And she was choking and rubbing her eyes. Fortunately, there was enough oxygen for the pilot and copilot to make a safe landing in Denver. But she’s safe and sound.”

Apparently there's enough oxygen everyplace except Willard's brain.

Christian 4th grade school textbook tries to explain electricity, gives up

http://dangerousminds.net/comments/christian_4th_grade_school_textbook_tries_to_explain_electricity

That was from a fourth grade textbook published by Bob Jones University, Dr. Jones was one of Romney's endorsers in 2008.

Bob Jones III endorses Romney for president

No sign of his having endorsed Mittens this year, though.

I homeschooled my oldest - I filled out his transcript indicating that I did not use Christan textbooks to explain science....

His college friends said he was the most normal homeschool kid they'd ever met.

An Abecca text wouldn't explain how trees use their roots to get water to their leaves, "we just don't know...."

Another text tried to debunk carbon dating and the making of fossils... a felt hat left in a salt mine was crusty after a few years... therefore the earth is 6,000 years old....

does this man seriously not understand that when flying at altitude, the pressure difference between inside and outside the craft is enough to suck a person right out of the cabin?

And does he not realize that the temperature at flying altitude is about MINUS 60 degrees F?

Why does he think we go through that procedure on every flight to learn how we are supposed to use the oxygen tubes? Oh wait, this guy has probably never flown a commercial flight in his life. My bad.

This is right up there with George HW Bush marveling at those new fangled supermarket checkout scanners.

And when it gets too stuffy open them up. Make sure to have cross ventilation so air comes in one window and out the other.

It might be better to have a convertible jet so he can fly with the top down.
