for example, the purported photo of Bernie marching in Selma--

A claim which Bernie never made--
Although Sanders has stated that he did participate in the landmark "March on Washington" civil rights event of August 1963 (where Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech), we haven't found any record of Sanders' stating that he was also present at any other civil rights march involving Martin Luther King, Jr

Compare that to the Bernie group and wow, what a difference.

(5,420 posts)I mean even if Bernie were to lose, he still wins. If things were fair we know he would win in a landslide, but he has the entire system fighting to save their money machine. He still wins though because he has changed the narrative. He has awakened people who have slept too long. He has moved everything to the real left. If he loses, he is still a winner and a hero.
If Hillary loses, she loses her ability to sell favors for contributions either political or to their charity. She will not be able to get the big money for speeches and she goes down as a laughing stock of deja vu.
They have to attack Bernie for every fart, the whole rigged system is at stake.

(5,420 posts)He said he marched in a different march. It was the strong resemblance that made people think it was him. But truth is that all of us that have marched in any demonstration knows that it is extremely unlikely to get up front and into any pic with the figurehead.
If Bernie said he marched with him, then he did. He is not a liar like some. He would not have thrown that out there if not true. Period.
