2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThis thread is a safe place for Hillary supporters who are starting to Feel the Bern - NO JUDGEMENT!
I know there have got to be more than a few of you who are thinking about switching sides.... This is a place where you can discuss your feelings, but I want to create an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and no judgement!!

(9,841 posts)Not everyone does, however, that's why I wanted to carve out a little safe place on DU where people could share their feelings about this.

(2,872 posts)After all the premature grave dancing and champagne popping I've seen tonight alone, you can understand why I got the wrong idea.

(12,618 posts)I'm a Hillary supporter because I think she's probably going to win. It's that simple. But I've got nothing but respect and love for Bernie Sanders and what he's been able to accomplish. I don't see why we have to be at each other's throats. I personally like both of them and would be happy to have either one as president for different reasons. Hillary because she's got the experience and the connections. Bernie because he's the type of guy that for once, would kick some ass for the little folks.
If Bernie does well, then when the primary train rolls around to California, then maybe I'll vote for him. If not, Hillary. And I'll be happy with either of them.

(30,733 posts)I will post anywhere I please on this site, except the Sanders room. I have no reason to go there.

(21,128 posts)That was the OP's defined population for the presumed scope of the post. That was the group I referred to.

(13,685 posts)But this is a quote from and anti-Bernie poster earlier this evening and I think it speaks for way too many here;
""The people with all the power, with the influence and money who support the democratic party right now will leave before they would support a candidate like Sanders""

(6,280 posts)... this is an end around run on a nasty little thread that was started and locked earlier. Didn't have the juice to go up the middle and was stopped dead in it's tracks. Loss of down, no gain, and a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. I really don't think you'll gain much yardage on this one either. Hillary supporters are pretty damn good at reading offenses.

(1,095 posts)I know, you're probably young and full of vigor, but a lot of us are done with SBS. He was OK a year ago, but now we've had it with "the Bern". I think his supporters ruined it for him.
