BERNIE SANDERS DUCKS UNSANCTIONED DEBATE, CLINTON AND O'MALLEY ARE GAME

http://www.newsweek.com/bernie-sanders-unsanctioned-debate-new-hampshire-420225

For months, Bernie Sanders has blasted the Democratic National Committee and its chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, for not scheduling enough debates to give voters a proper chance to choose between himself and his Democratic competitors, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.

But, after the New Hampshire Union Leader, New Hampshire's largest newspaper, announced Tuesday that it will host an additional debate, unsanctioned by the DNC, on February 4, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver told The New York Times that Sanders does not want to participate for fear of retribution from the DNC...(LOL...Bill_USA)

The DNC "said this will be an unsanctioned debate, so we would not want to jeopardize our ability to participate in future debates," Weaver told the Times. If the party decides to sanction the debate, Sanders's stance could change, Weaver added.

[blockquote style="border:1px solid #000000;padding:5px;"]Right! while the only other two Democratic candidates would NOT be sanctioned but Sanders would be???-- ROFL_Bill USA.

Clinton and O'Malley, meanwhile, seemed eager at the prospect of another debate. "Hillary Clinton would be happy to participate in a debate in New Hampshire if the other candidates agree, which would allow the DNC to sanction the debate,” a Clinton campaign spokesman told the Union Leader.

When it is written:

For months, Bernie Sanders has blasted the Democratic National Committee and its chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, for not scheduling enough debates to give voters a proper chance to choose between himself and his Democratic competitors, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.

the key point is sanctioned debates. That is, debates organized and sanctioned by the DNC, the body responsible here. The offer of a debate in New Hampshire was made by a newspaper, not the DNC.

And also, again, in your post, are the words:

The DNC "said this will be an unsanctioned debate, so we would not want to jeopardize our ability to participate in future debates," Weaver told the Times. If the party decides to sanction the debate, Sanders's stance could change, Weaver added.

What this means is that the Sanders campaign is willing to debate IF THE DEBATE IS DNC SANCTIONED.

So your post is meaningless as the title is very misleading. Nice tactics, smelling of desperation.

participate what's the DNC going to do? Stop ALL CANDIDATES FROM PARTICIPATING IN DEBATES. THE EXCUSE IS LUDICROUS AND TRANSPARENT. HE IS AVOIDING A DEBATE. DNC WON'T KNOCK OUT ALL THE CANDIDATES IF THEY ALL PARTICIPATE.

He doesn't want to keep standing in Clinton's shadow. SHe is knowledgeable, articulate, tough and prepared to be Commander in Chief. He knows he looks rather puny beside her in a debate.

HIS RATIONALE IS TRASPARENT BS. - as is your title - and your comment...

BTW: the title of my post comes from Newsweek.

People know where the candidates stand

MSNBC wants it to improve their ratings

Hillary would agree to show she is fine with it

O'Malley because he has nothing to lose

and Bernie to demonstrate he is following the DNC rules

At this point it is simply political posturing
