Watched Bernie on the news

That is one crabby guy. His demeanor was let's say "crabby". The electorate in general does not like a crabby guy. One of the most important part of sales is presentation. Whether anyone on this site wants to admit it people want to vote for someone they like. Reagan, Clinton and Obama all had sunny dispositions. That is how you win over people. Bernie talks to the true believers.

to see the crabby guy, and that the crabby guy has received money from more donors than any candidate in history? Maybe those people either (a) don't find him to be crabby, or (b) like his positive message even though he doesn't have a fixed, phony grin on his face all the time?

It's the MSM. They're CORRUPT. Bernie knows that. He also knows they're bought and paid for to do HRH's bidding. Who cares if he's crabby to the same media that's trying to take him down? I don't! I LOVE that he doesn't take their crap. They deserve to be put in their place. They're CORRUPT! And Al Hunt is an asshole. I also happen to think his crabbiness extends from the fact that he knows exactly how CORRUPT the entire system is. It pisses him off. It pisses me off.

I find crabbiness endearing when it's for a good reason.

A sunny disposition allows you to get more accomplished and that is one of the key factors why Reagan was so successful. I hate Reagan but that doesn't blind me to analyzing him. One must divorce themselves from their emotions in order to provide an accurate understanding of one's success.

Bernie biggest problem will be getting people to like him who aren't true believers. Whether you like it or not it is a sales job.

It's clear who his "audience" is. I get it. They like it, echo it, and amp-it-up. But for me, it's not an appealing characteristic, and I think it's something that would not serve well the person who holds the office of POTUS.

Personally, I don't look to either type as leaders. I don't think we want either type to run the country.

People have been told they are angry at their government to the point that they think angry or grumpy or crazy is the answer.

It's a dangerous trend.

I see Sanders and the Grumpy Old Man. He would be out there telling kids to get off the White House lawn.

fucking 'crabby'...'get off the lawn'....etc. is all some people have as if those characterizations have a goddam thing to do with the POTUS....

apparently, it is lost on such posts that those are merely opinions/observations of people trying to find any form of defamation they can tie to someone...

and when the shoe gets on the other foot...accusations of being anti-feminist, misogynistic, or worse, etc....they must have an auto-response auto-fill reply function...

and, I'll admit freely that it works both ways...

it must be a painful thought process for some to acknowledge...no wait, realize but NOT acknowledge that many Americans are tired of the way things are going and don't want any more of it...

we are looking for that change, the one that hasn't come and, to a great degree, isn't even being offered as a choice...unless we push against the PTB....

we may not get it this time, we sure as hell didn't get as much of it last time as we were expecting, but we WILL push...

it's all about choices and there is no way we will ever all agree....I just hope at some point the fucking coach gets us in the locker room and reminds us that we have a common shared goal...

who are going to rallies, donating in unprecedented numbers, and whupping Hillary in the polls, what's the problem? Maybe the "true believers" will turn out to be the majority. The "crabby" guy wins because the majority of the people like what he has to say. Even though Bernie's personal demeanor seems gruff, the truth is that his message is positive. Hillary's is negative; she's saying "No, we can't do that" to everything Bernie advocates - single payer health care, funded college, restoring bank regulation - and that's what people are responding to. Hillary is the negative candidate, not Bernie.

Bernie is way more attractive than those two lunatics. I'm quite confident that a majority would choose a "crab" with a positive message over a raving maniac with a hateful, angry message. If Bernie's personal demeanor were really such a turn-off he wouldn't be surging in the polls and attracting unprecedented donations. And f*ck that "true believer" shit.
