The down ticket & here come the Bernie progressives!

One of the things we hear a lot from Hillary supporters is how Bernie will hurt the down ticket.
Well, here they come! Welcome to "Bernie Progressives" who are challenging incumbent corporate Dems!

Here are 4 which come to mind & there are a lot more where this came from.

how about we just put a crown on one person? By your statement here we should have no contenders in any race and just 1 person straight across. No thank you, having choices is good and it's DEMOCRATIC.

Sorry, it's time and it's time to correct the right turn the party has taken.

Before we can even bring our ideas to the floor. To do that, we need to beat republicans.

Primary challenges to incumbent Dems at best moves a minority seat slightly left

It costs them nothing in the general. But it's the only way to have an impact if there are DINO or other dems whose positions you do not share.

If I vote for Sanders in a primary, I will vote for a congressional Dem--incumbent or not--who says he generally supports Sanders' positions.

Pushing Independent candidates against Democratic candidates (Such as Picus against Pelosi) is 100% against the DU TOS: Winning elections is important — therefore, advocating in favor of Republican nominees or in favor of third-party spoiler candidates that could split the vote and throw an election to our conservative opponents is never permitted on Democratic Underground.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jan 31, 2016, 02:00 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Oh fer f-ck's sake.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Advocating Primary Challenge of Pelosi or any other Democrat by non-Dems is not what DUers signed up for.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Agree that on DU we do not push or endorse non-Democratic candidates.

been working hard to get progressive candidates as well. Hope all progressives sign up with them. If you're Reddit inclined (and there are some good subreddits around), Grass Roots Select is a good subreddit to check out (and if you're Sanders inclined you probably want to check out Reddit's r/politics and r/SandersForPresident).
