Poll: Obama edges Romney in Virginia
Obama and Romney held dueling events in Virginia on Thursday with each campaign scrambling for votes in a state that remains very competitive.
Obama's favorability rating remains above water, with 52 percent having a positive impression of him. Forty-four percent have an unfavorable impression. Romney is upside down, with a 42 percent favorable rating and a 45 percent unfavorable rating.
Obama's signature health care plan still remains unpopular in Virginia, with 51 percent saying that it would a bad thing for the state.
Despite Team Obama's low expectation setting, Virginia voters believe Obama will best Romney in next week's debate. The survey finds 46 percent say Obama is a better debater, while 19 percent believe Romney will win.

(4,551 posts)Only question is the Senate race.
Hopefully the Kaine 'controversy' doesn't hurt his chances. This is the closest I've seen the Senate race in a while too, but this poll could be an outlier.
