Obama & Israel: An important op-ed

A quick rebuttal of Romney/Republican lies. I wish this would get more attention inside and outside the Jewish community.

http://washingtonjewishweek.com/main.asp?SectionID=31&SubSectionID=49&ArticleID=18054&TM=15988.37

A couple of excerpts:
In fact, since President Obama took office in 2009, the United States has committed more than $1 billion to help Israel develop a comprehensive missile defense system including all the funds for Iron Dome, doubling funds for David's Sling, and increased support for Arrow III, which will be able to intercept hostile missiles in space.

From Iron Dome and David's Sling, to increased joint operations of U.S. and Israeli forces; from responding to Prime Minister Netanyahu's call for help for Israeli diplomats endangered in Cairo, to putting serious pressure on the mullahs of Iran - throughout his presidency, Barack Obama has acted decisively for Israel's security. That's a record of action, not campaign commentary.

Read, and learn: Jewish-American voters not straying from Obama

Pay particular attention to this FACT:

Asked to name the most important issue driving their presidential vote, just 4.5% named U.S-Israeli relations. Just 1.3 percent named Iran’s nuclear program.

There is a definte need of education OUTSIDE of the Jewish community!

would be. Polling shows that this made up issue hasn't damaged the president's standing with the Jewish community, he's beating Rmoney 2 to 1. Education is certainly always helpful, but people simply don't trust Rmoney on the issues, and this one is no different.

better spent in the US. Israel is more then capable of supporting and defending it's self. If Israel needs US military support they should have to PAY for it. Israel is not a backwards impovershed country and they can afford to take care of themselves.

Just think how many schools, bridges and roads could have been repaired, how many police, fireman and teachers could have been hired with OUR money yet it was pissed away in and for another country.

Military aid to ALL other countries needs to stop.
