Dangerous Levels Of Lead Found In An Ohio Citys Water System
by Alex Zielinski Jan 25, 2016 4:47 pm
As all eyes are on the water contamination crisis plaguing Flint, Michigan, another U.S. city is grappling with similar questions about whether its public officials ignored warning signs suggesting its tap water wasnt safe to drink.
Its been two months since the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency first identified excessive levels of lead in the town of Sebrings public water system. However, despite the EPAs requirements to inform the public by the end of November, Sebring residents were only told of the contamination last week.
Coming just days after President Barack Obama declared a state of emergency in Flint where residents have been exposed to toxic levels of lead in their own water system this news isnt being taken lightly by Ohio officials. On Monday, the state ordered the suspension of Sebring Water Superintendent Jim Bates amid a criminal investigation into claims that he may have falsified reports on the citys lead levels.

Well, I'll just bet the people of Ohio would like to know when she'll be arriving.

(3,900 posts)Because we all know good and well that if Sanders had made it there before her, you would NEVER claim he was pandering.
And since it is likely that he will go to Flint in the coming days, you might want to be careful what you're saying about "pandering" now s'o that you don't look like a hypocrite when he turns up there.
