If Sanders wins the nomination I will work my ass off for him.

But I am supporting HRC in the primary. And I am working my ass off for her at the present. Politics is a rough fucking game and I make no apologies for not worshiping the latest shiny object- which to many Bernie seems to be.

Bookmark this thread because if he becomes POTUS I will be here defending him from many of those who claim to love him now.

Just just like Obama.

What you do is very important. I will do for my locals. My district rarely has a republican run against the dem for some reason(all the minorities live here).

"All" the minorities do not live in your district, as you well know. The entire city of Anchorage is very diverse, with three of the country's top 10 most diverse high schools, six of the top 10 middle schools, and 19 of the top 20 elementary schools. http://www.adn.com/article/20150523/anchorage-public-schools-lead-nation-diversity

That being said, I agree with you that it doesn't make sense for ANY district in our city (with the possible exception of the south side and Eagle River) to vote Republican. I have some hope with last year's election of Ethan Berkowitz as mayor.

I live in one of the most diverse areas and everybody knows that not all of the city is diverse, go to hillside or oceanview. Lived there. Sucked.

I think the entire state is waking up to the fact that we are broke and cannot rely on oil to save us. Even Republicans are talking taxes to me and thinking about a sakes tax, of course, because they refuse to consider a state income tax or ending the oil Subsidies. I think we are ready to make some inroads and my energy will be best spent on a local level, Imo.

That's why I said south side. Not so diverse down there. But we do have a pretty good mix over here where I live and Muldoon area is definitely a melting pot.

I agree with your second paragraph 100%. To me income tax is definitely the way to go to try and capture some of the money that the Slopers take south with them every couple of weeks. Jay Hammond said the biggest mistake he made as governor was doing away with the income tax. Sales tax would be bad and disproportionately hurt those with lower incomes. And I definitely think they need to audit the oil companies because they've been cheating us for years. It's ridiculous that we pay more to them in subsidies than we get back in revenue.

If it's the former have you learned the difference between communism and Democratic socialism yet?

I don't expect that much from Republicans but I like to think Democrats are capable of understanding the difference.

And if it's the latter do you really think you're helping Dems by using right wing tactics against Bernie?
