2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary Admitted Just NOW That She Watched Bernie's Segment... Town Hall SET UP!
So NOW the scene has been set and the shenanigans CONFIRMED by Hillary HERSELF!
Hillary was permitted to WATCH BERNIE during his segment providing her an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE in
the Town Hall. Hillary then having listened to Bernie can then more effectively counter his points because she heard what her opponent said... So she comes out and CONFIRMS THAT SHE WATCHED BERNIE!
I KNEW THAT THIS WAS THE CASE! Now Hillary fucked up and confirmed it by pointing to a girl who asked about her Mexican husband being deported to Mexico while her daughters grew up here without their father at home.
Bernie goes first so that Hillary has the advantage... SHAME ON MSNBC for facilitating a one up for Hillary by having Bernie go first and in so doing allows Hillary to watch Bernie!

Just a bit of trivia for the day. I learned this from a docent at Hook Head Lighthouse at in Ireland. The lighthouse it the oldest continually manned and functioning lighthouse in Europe. It has been around since the 5th century AD.

Actually I think it matters not so much as Bernie answers questions where HRC skirts the question if it hits too hard. Soft balls she can handle but the fast ones not so much. Bernie can handle himself in any setting and by doing what m$nbc is doing they are showing those who aren't blind who has what.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
The banner 'Bernie, He's not an Asshole' Next to a picture of Hillary. This accompanies way too many posters for bernie. This is absolutely disrespectful to a former first lady, senator, and secretary of state. DU should root through all these post and suspend these posters. They go far beyond inappropriate and dispicable behaivior.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Feb 18, 2016, 11:10 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Banner? What is all this blah blah about a banner?
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Oh for fuck's sake, grow the fuck up.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: ? - I don't see a banner - is this a drinking game alert?
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I had to hunt down what this was in reference to you can't see it in the alert. I think that's just a coincidence in this case. I disagree with the banner saying bernie isn't an asshole. I can't hide this it's not hideworthy.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: How does saying "Bernie, He's not an Asshole" mean Hillary is? You've got to be kidding.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I shall not stop voting on juries looking at GDP alerts. I shall not stop voting to LEAVE IT ALONE more than 90% of the time. This particular alert is just so much more petty crap. Too bad, Alerter. You lose. ð

The debates/town halls are always scheduled on the wrong day, at the wrong time, in the wrong venue, in front of the wrong audience, with the wrong moderators, who ask the wrong questions on the wrong topics, who throw the softballs at Hillary while whipping the hardballs at poor Bernie - and now they're introducing the candidates in the wrong order.

"And I understand that somebody asked Senator Sanders a question because her husband was in Mexico -- I don't who asked that question. And I want to tell you, I will end the three and 10-year bar provision so that you do not have to face that ever again."
It does raise the question of how she knew that, doesn't it?
gwheezie
(3,580 posts)She said she understood someone asked that question. I'm not baffled or stymied either she heard the Bernie segment or one of her aides in the audience heard it and passed it on to her. Were these secret town hall meetings because why was it televised?

(5,275 posts)Bernie explains his positions, answers questions in depth, and presents examples of what he proposes and how they will work for people...
to be followed by someone who spends a great deal of time and energy attacking what was said looks exactly like that...AN ATTACK...which diminishes HRC's presentation of her 'true' positions...
it is just as obvious to the viewers as it is to the audience...she is a good speaker, debater, whatever...but spending time trying to diminish the other candidate versus developing your own case is not a winning formula....

(413 posts)Hillary is an American citizen and has every right to hear what a candidate has to say to the people.
Whatever small advantage may accrue from being able to respond after thinking about it, instead of off the cuff, is negated by the advantage in framing the debate, and in having more viewers. Maybe they should switch up the order, but then you lose the excitement of not knowing. And now, I am curious too, if "win the flip" means choice or just "You go first." Mildly curious.
