Why is voter turnout..

so low for the democrats? What's going on? Thoughts?

1. It's is usually pretty dismal outside of GE's.

And no, that's not a smear, it's a historical fact. That is why so many states which are solid blue in GE's are being run by Republican governors.

We need to work on it and encourage our peers to do better.

4. I hope it improves for the GE...

I'm thinking Rubio/Haley will be their ticket. That's going to be hard to beat, imo.

I can't imagine the damage that will be done if they get back in power.

We've got to have better voter turnout.

8. We have two candidates that don't bridge our coalition well and both campaigns

have gone negative, which further reduces turnout. Plus the Republicans are as pissed as we were in 2008.

It's why I'm not terribly optimistic about the fall no matter whom we nominate.
