Kevin Alexander Gray talks about why turnout in SC was so low - it wasn't only becuz of Bernie not

connecting with voters.

The other thing that people are not paying attention to in this huge victory that Hillary Clinton had over Bernie Sanders is the fact that so many people didn’t vote from 2008 to 2016. I would say that a lot of those people that didn’t vote didn’t vote because of their reticence to the Clintons and what happened between them and Obama and understanding that history.

Hillary Clinton is a neoliberal Democrat. The purpose of the Jackson campaigns in '84 and ’88 were a counter to Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton and the rise of the DLC, the Democratic Leadership Council, which Jesse called the Democratic Leisure Class.

The majority of what Kevin said was directed at why Bernie could not connect in SC and he makes valid points. A lot of those points are frustrations that even crazy Bernie supporters, like myself, have been discussing.

About that turnout in SC? IT SUCKED!

Around 370,000 votes were cast in the South Carolina Democratic primary, amounting to just over 12 percent of the overall vote.

2016 #SCPrimary voter turnout vs. 2008:
Democrats voters down about 175,000 - Republican voters up nearly 300,000.

Of course turnout among AAs was going to be down from 2008.

Wait till the deep blue states vote.

Republicans will drag their naked bodies through a room full of broken glass to vote against Hillary Clinton. She gets very few independents and very little youth vote. If you think otherwise you haven't been paying attention the last 25 years or to the Republican turn-out numbers so far. Winning Democratic primaries in the South doesn't translate to winning deep red southern states in the GE.

Republicans will cross-over to Sanders to vote against tRump. Youth will come out by the millions. Independents will vote solidly in Sanders favor. To think otherwise means you haven't been paying attention or looking at the primary voter demographics.

Gotta love the results of those mid-terms when you're stuck with a 100% GOP Gov. and legislature.

Fun times to be had by all!

I'd like to thank all the Democrats in The Establishment who turned a blind eye, shrugged their shoulders or kept their lips sealed shut. A heart felt "fuck you" to all the sons of itches who never picked up the populist mantle, uttered a single word in protest or condemnation.

We get the government we deserve.

I'm sure the talking heads completely ignoring the Dem race didn't help. Half the people probably didn't know there was a Democratic primary happening.

I heard horror stories about 2012. People were calling in to Hartmann from all over the country saying that the RNC was pumping $$$$ into local elections and the DNC was nowhere to be found. Close races were lost to repugs all over the country. We had some heartbreaking loses here in Az. The Kochs came in and bought their candidates. No DNC or any other DC groups ever invest in AZ - except when Dean was the head of the DNC.

She is the worst. The whole Democratic Party has become such a disappointment.

I see Hill's margin was twice the 20% the polls showed her going in with.
