And to be fair a lot of things can go into when to call a state. Not saying the msm isn't biased, but that may not be the best example of it.

But he was ahead of exit polling margins with 51% of vote was counted. the statistical odds of that being wrong at that point are unlikely.

And Clinton is winning there. Other outlets have called it, though. Not everyone is against Sanders or hates him.

all the victory lapping and poking and calling the election over and her husband giving campaign speeches right outside a polling station. I've had my fill tonight.
Over 80% of the country has yet to vote, including me. I think the entire West coast and NY, IL, MI and OH to name a few should get a say before anyone declares victory.

the precision can vary between the parties.

Conspiracies are a very easy non-rational explanation to accept, but it really isn't rational.

You can't even remotely say that just because one race can safely be called at X%, that another unrelated race can be called at X+Y%. It's a different universe of voters and given that Democrats are more likely to be in more consolidated precincts, it may take longer to get a good grasp on who is winning.

He was already winning in excess of the exit polling, that margin was stable and with 40% of the vote counted. The chances of him not being the actual winner were unlikely.
