Hold on. I know that everyone here at DU is informed and active, at a minimum doing their part to convince their loved ones and neighbors that the stakes are high. This I have faith in. I may not agree with everyone about their candidate or their stances and that's actually a relatively small difference. Many of the people I am arguing against now I argued for on the other side in 2008. We are so much alike and the same that the message that we are all in this together is not lost even on this divided night of nights. I respect the passion and the commitment from both sides. We talk the talk and walk the walk. Whoever your candidate, your issue your choice, let's not lose sight of the success of all of us tonight. The country is now debating shades is liberalism while the right implodes. This is goodness now matter how you slice it.

And I also hope you're right that we'll pull together after the primaries. I miss the old DU and that sense of community but also the idea of any of those Republicans as president is horrifying.
