Swing states, my friends. The polls look good for Hillary.

Although the Mass win was a "feel good" one for Hillary and her supporters, Virginia was the one that really made me sit up and take notice.

Election after election, I sit with my heart in my throat waiting for the results from Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania (my home state), and Florida. They seem to decide the election almost every year. These are the states where we need a GE candidate who inspires voters.

Hillary's now won VA. Here's polling on the rest:

Pennsylvania:

Florida: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/fl/florida_democratic_presidential_primary-3556.html

Ohio: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/oh/ohio_democratic_presidential_primary-5313.html

Again, if we want to win the GE, we must win at least some of these states. And at least so far, their preferred candidate is Hillary.

Your thoughts?

Of what states the nominee wins in Nov.

DEMs may win VA in November. But I think it's unlikely at this point that, if Hillary is the nominee, she'll win Alabama, Georgia, Tenn., and I think it's unlikely at this point that, if Bernie is the nominee, he'll win Oklahoma.

We'll soon find out, though.

Edited: Yes, I know you said swing states, but I think primaries offer little indication overall.

Trump also won VA. He may win Oh, Penn and Fla. what then?

That at least VA, OH, and PA lean blue, then I think it's significant.

But I take your point re: primary vs GE results.
