is it necessary to even mention Bernie Sanders? Especially when you are going to use those same "talking points" all the surrogates get. It's seems so planned and dishonest.

Isn't there enough about Hillary Clinton that is wonderful for her endorsers to talk about?

It says more about their candidate's inadequacies than Bernie that he can't praise her good qualities instead. Maybe she doesn't have any he wants to praise her for.
