Clinton Backs Repealing Tax Cuts for Moving U.S. Jobs Overseas

John Kerry backed the same when he was running. I know the so-called U.S. Chamber of Commerce has been strongly opposed to such.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will propose rescinding tax relief and other incentives retroactively for U.S. companies that move jobs and operations overseas, her campaign said.

Clinton will unveil the proposal, aimed at encouraging firms to invest at home, in a speech on Friday at Detroit Manufacturing Systems, an automotive supplier. It would apply to incentives including the R&E tax credit and the Section 199 domestic production dedication and may date back "several previous years."

Clinton’s proposal is the first of its kind at the federal level, though New York, Indiana and Washington have considered similar measures for companies that take advantage of their development incentives and then leave the state or do not meet the purpose of state support, according to an e-mailed statement from her campaign.

A Clinton aide said that the idea for the "clawback" emerged from her discussions with economic advisers aimed at encouraging economic patriotism. Clinton has also proposed an exit tax on companies that invert and a crackdown on companies that shift profits abroad to avoid U.S. taxes, a practice known as "earnings stripping," it said.

..."ARE RESPONSIBLE" for outsourcing is disingenuous, at best. Of course the Clintons are not responsible for all outsourcing, but BOTH BILL AND HILL have a long history of supporting outsourcing and firms that outsource.

Of course, those views are now not espoused as before.

NOW, MORE THAN EVER, I sure would like to know what she said to Goldman, Morgan and the other Wall Street firms in the private seclusion of their lairs, you know, for AT LEAST $250,000 A POP!

RELEASE THOSE TRANSCRIPTS, HILLARY!

BURLINGTON, Vt. – In a video from the Indian TV state NDTV from May 7, 2012, then-Secretary Hillary Clinton told an Indian audience that outsourcing benefited many parts of the United States: “Well, you know, it’s been going on for many years now and it’s part of our economic relationship with India, and I think that there are advantages with it that have certainly benefited many parts of our country and there are disadvantages that go to the need to, you know, improve the job skills of our own people and create a better economic environment, so it’s, like anything it’s, you know, got pluses and minuses.”

Following a question from the host about a political ad by President Obama about outsourcing, Secretary Clinton laughingly responds, “Well, you know, it’s an election year . . . .”

If it weren't for her husband's policies with her blessings, none of this would even be needed.

Talking from both sides of her mouth must get tiring.
