2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHey guys, I love you all, but it's just not working...
You might as well be standing in the corner talking to the wall because your wordy diatribes about how the other candidate is so awful - falls on deaf ears.
What, You say! But but but!
Please tell me why voting for your candidate is a good thing, post links, show examples, argue forcefully. The nana nana boo boo finger pointing does not resonate!!
Too much work? Not as much fun?
It's just not working. DU has become a hot mess of borning pissing matches. I've been a member here since 2003, although not a prolific poster, I've read a lot and learned a lot.
This from Ninga, who, turns 72 tomorrow. (Although I really think and feel like I'm 40!)
The end.

(47,803 posts)There are tons of those being presented by Sanders people....Sure a lot of other stuff too, but that the inevitable detrius that comes from supporters of all candidates

(4,387 posts)...with no contrasts between the two, you can't really make an informed choice. What good is it to hear what Hillary says now if you can't put it in the context of her history? Same with Sanders. The only difference is you'll hear the same thing throughout the years from Sanders while that's not the case with Hillary.
If all you hear are positives from a candidates supporters, you'll only see one side of the picture.
Pointing out these things are not pissing contests.

(82,383 posts)why try to convince anyone? Here, anyway.
Its about as useless as tits on a boar hog to try to change anyone's mind here, and I have been here just about as long as anyone. They'll learn. You get wiser with age!
