LINCOLN —...................................

..................Bill Clinton stumped in Lincoln and Omaha on Friday. He drew more than 700 people to his Omaha appearance at the Benson nightclub — including 300 who couldn’t make it into the packed lounge and wound up in an overflow room. Another 800 people saw him at the Lincoln Station Great Hall.

His visit came a day after his wife’s rival, Bernie Sanders, held a rally in Lincoln that brought more than 4,000 to the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Today’s caucuses will allow Nebraska Democrats to take sides on whether they want Sanders or Hillary Clinton to run against the Republican nominee in the fall election.

More than 38,000 Democrats showed up at the state party’s first caucuses in 2008. Officials are hoping for a bigger turnout this year, although no one knows how many will show up.

It is also unclear which candidate is likely to win. There have been no public polls released, and no evidence that either campaign has surveyed the state.

Bill Clinton suggested that his wife has the momentum after the past week — including Super Tuesday, when she outpaced Sanders by winning more states and more national delegates.
................

During his 40-minute speech in Omaha, Clinton touched upon many of the themes that have dominated his wife’s speeches, including her argument that she is the only candidate in the race who has the experience and the will to work with members of the Republican Party to get things done.

You count crowd size. Bill and Hillary count delegates. :-) Alfresco Mar 2016 #2
Well, it is delegates that leads to the nomination ---NOT how large the Crowd is. riversedge Mar 2016 #3
