MSNBC Can't Seem to Get Message Straight

MSNBC is saying what a great night Cruz is having by winning the Kansas caucuses. They add that the stop Trump movement is picking up steam because of Cruz's win. They also add that maybe it is time to back Cruz over Trump.

But MSNBC's opinion regarding the Dem race is much different. According to MSNBC Bernie Sander's big projected wins tonight don't really count or matter because they are caucuses and not primaries.

MSNBC - Cruz's caucus wins tonight are big!

MSNBC - Bernie's caucus wins tonight don't count or matter much because they are caucuses.

Remember MSNBC is going "White & Conservative", because it brings in the revenue...it's not about news with MSNBC, it's all about trying to be like FOX...all they need to do now is to hire a wife beating, lecherous, bigoted Irishman and give him everything he wants, and they will be!!!

I gave up on them a while ago. There are still good people there, I hope they can get out before the ship sinks. I think msnbc will do the codependent thing and try to keep the republican party intact, which is ... why? What the actual F, why? Before Bernie, we didn't have a viable alternative, now that we do... sigh. It's about the money, it is so transparent now they have become a caricature of themselves. There is no way to beat the republicans at their own game, not in the long run because they tend to win by co-opting their opposition - and that is exactly what they have done.

7. Cruz is worse than Trump

Ted Cruz is a true believer in the very worst of rightwing ideologies, especially Dominionism.

Trump only believes in one thing -- himself. His agenda is to further inflate his own ego, and a disastrous legacy does not serve that purpose.

I'm not saying Trump wouldn't be a disaster. I'm saying what comes out of his mouth has more to do with self promotion than pursuit of dangerous ideology.

13. The systems arent the same

the Republicans have a bunch of winner take all states, so if Cruz starts winning states, he can quickly erase a sizable gap. The Dems split proportionally all the way to the Convention, so the game changer on the Dem side wouldn't be Bernie winning states, but Bernie winning big states (like Michigan, Florida, and Ohio over the next few weeks) BY LARGE MARGINS.

If Cruz wins Florida by a vote, he gets all Florida's delegates. If Bernie wins Florida by a vote, he and Hillary each get half the delegates. Different systems = different narratives.

Florida is a big prize, but most states are not winner-take-all in the Republican primary.

17. According to Wikipedia, the following states are winner take all on the Republican Side
Sat Mar 5, 2016, 09:06 PM

Florida - 99
Illinois - 69
Missouri - 52
North Marina Island - 9
Ohio - 63
US Virgin Islands - 9
Arizona - 58
Wisconsin - 42
Maryland - 38
Delaware - 16
Pennsylvania - 71
Indiana - 57
Nebraska - 36
California - 172
Montana - 27
New Jersey - 51
South Dakota - 29

It's a major systemic difference which keeps the Republican's 3-ring circus going because you can actually erase a huge delegate deficit quickly.
