Sanders was a member of CORE and a co-founder of the Congressional Progressive Caucus with Ron Dellums and Maxine Waters.

Sanders was a supporter of Jesse Jackson and a leader of the Rainbow Coalition.

Social economic and civil justice matters and Sanders has supported the progressive side consistently for 40 years and Clinton has not.

now after the recent campaign smears. That was always Bernie, not Bruce Rappaport in the Chicago Univ. photos. Impossible. It's been pure malice just to try to discredit his civil rights era truth. I think Bernie is also in another photo of the crowd behind MLK at the 1963 March that was posted here recently. Although I don't know if Bernie's campaign has used or verified the image.
In addition to college work and endorsing Jesse Jackson, as Mayor of Burlington Bernie was connected to US urban affairs and leaders, and while in Congress he's worked with other members and organizations on progressive issues to help minorities and all working Americans. Always.

One would hope that it's true about paying attention but how does that help explain the Hillary supporters here who have used smears to undermine Bernie. It's been ugly and coupled with the concerted effort of the MSM to not give Bernie any coverage and the Clinton's Brock campaign along with Debbie Wasserman, Bernie, and we, have done an extraordinary job.

It's clear the establishment wants Hillary and it has nothing to do with making our lives livable or better in any way.

we had been supporting john edwards and when he tanked we went to HRC by default -- buying into all the "obama is unelectable" BS -- but then her campaign went into racist dogwhistle mode, and got uglier by the day.

it was as much losing respect, as it was seeing that a group of people tied to this sort of campaigning likely weren't to be trusted in anything else they put forward. once we turned the corner on that, the so-called electability issue completely disappeared. we simply didn't care, we were going to support obama come what may.

The Clinton campaign would be held in higher regard by their own Party if the tactic was to praise Sanders and go positive in general.

Many Democrats do not like nor trust Hillary Clinton and there is nothing she or her supporters can do about that now because she has so little credibility with nearly half of the Democrats.

Clinton is likely to win the nomination and may well win POTUS but it has been and will be at a cost to the Democratic Party and nation.

To me Sanders is the alternative to Hillary Clinton albeit it is refreshing to have a social democrat as a choice.

I think the Democratic Party could have come up with a far better candidate had not conventional wisdom and establishment support been so biased for Clinton.

Sun Mar 6, 2016, 04:00 PM
Mar 2016

no matter how big or small the mic is.

here's what Tim Black says, which I think is fascinating:

Elitist, Establishment, Line Toting black celebrities, politicians and CEO's formed Voltron along with Friends of Clinton to rewrite history and tarnish Sanders' candidacy all to make way for a very flawed, Hillary Clinton more attractive to Black voters.

The Democratic Party along with Liberal Media had a very clear goal: Fool black voters into thinking Bernie Sanders, as Russell Simmons put it, was "Insensitive to black people" as if going to jail and doing sit-ins was an act of selfishness instead of selflessness."

the reason this should be interesting to anyone interested in civil rights and social justice, is that there's a lesson encoded depending on which version of the story you subscribe to.

Is it (1) selfish and insensitive to black people to fight against racial injustice as a white/jewish person? or, is it (2) simply being on the right side of history b/c moral fights (like the fight against segregation) don't care for political gamesmanship, then or now?

personally, i find it sickening and ultimately counter-productive to criticize anyone for being on the right side of the social justice. but that's just me. YMMV.

Here is a comparison of industry standard broadcast mics used for podcasts and videos.

http://recordinghacks.com/2011/06/02/ultimate-podcast-mic-shootout/

Beyond desired audio quality, the biggest issue is ambient noise and reflection from the recording environment. If you're not in an acoustically treated studio it's important to use good quality condenser or dynamic mics that provide adjustable polar patterns and off-axis rejection. Otherwise your recordings will suck and be hard to listen to.

But the saddest thing about your post is that you found an absurd thing to belittle Tim Black about.

The rabid-dog, "Hillary is the epitome of evil" approach of the Sanders campaign gave me pause. A little digging into Sanders's record as a politician (his only paying job), and I walked away.

That the Clinton campaign had flung at Black voters since the day Bernie announced. Ample evidence is right here from the usual suspects.

Let me get this straight, intentional media lies and defamation aren't propaganda, but setting the record straight is? Do you guys ever give your brains a chance to catch up with your typing fingers?

Definition- information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

Hope that helps.

111. what?
Sun Mar 6, 2016, 03:53 PM
Mar 2016

are you like, 12??

do you have any memory of what swiftboating even means, and where the term comes from?

do you people practice being intentionally obtuse in front of the mirror?

you may find this harsh, maggie, but i am being flat out serious here.

there is not even logic or good sense to support your claim of ignorance, unless you are in fact 12 and were not alive when john kerry was swiftboated right out of the white house, tho his win was stolen from him in so many other, additional ways, by the powers-that-be establishment of that time, as those of us who have been democrats for longer than obama has been president know too well.

too well to take seriously something as obtuse and shallow as your claim. which is ultimately self-damning.

no doubt you'll go whine to some tribunal of judges cuz your sensitive feefees are so offended and hurt. but what is far more offensive and hurtful is the fact that hillary's supporters are spending so much time sniveling and sniping, without any care to just how alienating it is, without a thought toward how each such thoughtless cut shaves away valuable good will that hillary will need IF she wins.

but hey, here's the thing. what offends me almost as much is the fact that every time you guys block or hide (or whatever it is you do; i just don't hang here that much at all, and am not intimate with all these rules, good grief), you shut down debate. it is in fact the proverbial slamming the door shut. no discussion, no defense, no nothing. just wham bam no thx ma'am.

so, here's my pitch. i double dog dare you to let this comment stay. show you have that much courage. and you know what? i honestly believe you do. truly.

so let us just see if it even generates one response, by anyone. and if it does, see if there is support for you or damning of me, or vice versa, or some combo of both, whatev'. none of that matters. allowing the debate is what matters.

because you know what? none of this sniveling and sniping, or the vapors that send the H folks to the tribunal, not one bit of that is getting at the issues.

and you know what? this capehart/john lewis issue is just one of many for me, but i can honestly admit it is not one of THE issues we need to be debating here, and as a democratic community.

so i would dearly love to see your courage, in both allowing and participating in that debate.

She has had the same number of years to value black lives. Apparently, she kept ignoring the prison industrial complex and health statistics about the real war on drugs in this country.

All that time, and so many changed positions to adopt.... What to think.... ... Really... just NOW?

Somebody went into the University of Chicago archives and changed Bernie's name,
John Lewis tried to say that Bernie had nothing to do w/the civil rights movement,
Jonathan Capehart pushed the meme, and both Time and CNN tried to sell this
bullshit.

This was orchestrated and carried out by many people at many different levels
so my guess is this was the work of "creative response concepts," of Arlington,
VA because they were the ones behind the swift boat lies and Sam Alito's wife
running in tears because the Dems were so mean to her husband in his SCOTUS's
confirmation hearings (Gloria Borger then of CBS helped to carry the water and
push that lie).

And the next question is if and how was "team clinton" connected to this smear
campaign

is there any more on Creative Response Concepts that could be used in a longer written piece?
is there a direct connection that can be cited?

i'd love to know if there's some meat on this bone.

their obstruction by "reaching across the isle" just like Obama did for 4 years. The Republican Party is dying. It is being replaced by a pro-corporate fascist party of the same name. The days of reaching across the isle to it have been over since the day Obama was elected and won't be back until the hand that reaches across the isle is balled into a fist. Don't expect that from Clinton.

Then the question becomes what replaces them? If the republicans continue moving right and the center moves with them, the only way a two party representative democracy can survive is for the democrats to move left.

surely to gawd there is something we can do about it.

but such is the nature of political machinery.

we must all commit with every fibre of our being to rid ourselves of this scourge.

121. This country has been manipulated and divided by corporate rule for years.
Sun Mar 6, 2016, 05:38 PM
Mar 2016

There are influences out there that DO NOT want this country united, awake and participating in any lawmaking process, so they foment racism, confusion, infighting, character assassinations, and lie to us to distract us from what their true agenda is. Call it being bamboozled because it works-- look at us.

Yet even though the populace IS DIVIDED, who would be best to unify the country? HRC would divide this country further--one investigation after another, of which she is not even worried about with all that corporate money. These people believe they are above the law because they have existed this way so far.

There is too much work to do on our infrastructure and in society to heal the rifts CREATED by these Republicans and Republican Lites. Bernie Sanders is a UNIFYING influence. If there is any divisiveness from people voting for him, it is NOT coming from him. The country is ALREADY DIVIDED.

Thank you for posting this great and clear video.
