(146,281 posts)Tuesday's coming. That will provide a big jump in the delegate count for Clinton.
Small state wins just can't provide the numbers Bernie needs, I'm afraid. The gap will continue to grow, right through March 15. Right now, Hillary has a 206 pledged delegate lead. That will drop a bit today, but increase a lot on Tuesday.
Delegate count. It's what matters.

(146,281 posts)What will happen will happen. I'm just observing right now. Once it's clear who the nominee will be, I'll shift into general election GOTV mode. I never really get excited about the primary season, although I follow it closely. I can't really do anything about how the voting goes, so I pretty much just watch.
What I post here on DU is mostly observations of what is happening, along with a few predictions. I'm not campaigning for Hillary, even though she's the candidate I support. It doesn't matter, really, on DU. It doesn't matter where I live, either. I don't have any yard signs or bumper stickers. As soon as primary season is over, though, I will.
The 2016 General Election is going to be a very big deal. The results will either lead to an OK four years or a cosmic clustersex event. It will matter very much. I'll be working hard for our Democratic candidate. Very hard, indeed.

Clinton Will Build Her Biggest Lead on March 15. Sanders Will Erode It After That.

(146,281 posts)In fact, I think that many people will switch to Clinton in the remaining states. The leading candidate always picks up voters who want to vote for the winner. It's a well-known phenomenon. I also believe that states like NY and NJ, along with California will go for Hillary in the majority.
That's my opinion, of course, and my opinion only. I'll be watching, since I'm not in any of those states.
As for my opinion being, as you put it, "bullshit spin," we'll see as time goes by, won't we? Personally, I think such words are insulting and won't help your favorite candidate, but again, that's my opinion.

(13,340 posts)He needs to win 7 more delegates than Hillary tonight to come out ahead on the weekend.
He needs to win 18 of the 25 delegates to reduce his "behind track" gap by 1 delegate.
There are your benchmarks. Good luck to everyone!

(3,017 posts)Absolutely loved all of it, including the scenery, the food and the people.
But I was shocked by the governor (a Republican named LePage) who was all over the news. Absolutely bat shit crazy and a bigot to boot. He got elected in 2014 with less than 40% of the vote in a 3 way race. I look forward to seeing him in prison one day.
I hope there will be a huge turnout in Maine for Bernie tonight.
