(11,945 posts)don't they? Remember the Iowa caucuses and the questions about irregularities?
And who would have thought Bill would visit four MA polling places, shutting down voting on election day in a very tight election?
Your candidate's lifetime of questionable behavior forces the rest of us to be on guard.
And I'll bet you're proud of that, too.

(213 posts)People were still registering an hour and a half after the caucus started at 1. Overflow had to be directed from the gym to the cafeteria. Ran out of yellow index cards used for voting so switched to half sheets of plain white paper. A little strange and it felt strangely corruptible. Many many more lined up to drop their cards in Bernie Boxes than Hillary's. Lots of college students registering for the first time. Awaiting tally.

(357 posts)...assuming there's room?
I am soooooooooo sick of caucus BS.
They are just another way to disenfranchise voters, and provide opportunity to cheat.
That said I am currently organizing for ours (WA) March 26th. We are fairly organized, even with online preregistration which gives the LD a clue as to how many are coming. Not sure if we have contingency ideas if the current venue is too small...
This is what we need though HUUUGE turnouts.
We don't want to head to the National convention without Bernie (like Obama) having clinched the earned delegates.
And yes, he can!

(135,425 posts)They should go to a primary system--all of these "caucus states" should.
Of course, the reason IA gets to go early is BECAUSE of their stupid little caucuses.
At least ME is having theirs on a day where more people can attend. If they'd done this on a weeknight like the other states, the turnout would have been much lower.
Also, it's a great day in terms of weather, and that helps.
I am a HRC supporter, but I would be shocked if Sanders didn't do very well in this contest.

(5,902 posts)I wouldn´t put it past him. But you know what?
His cheating on his wife doesn´t bother me one bit (that´s all between him and Hillary).
It´s Hillary´s cheating on her own country - the one she presumes to want to lead - with banksters that really infuriates me.

(5,902 posts)Bernie Sanders commands respect, even from most of those who disagree. What they see is the authenticity and the good faith.
Hillary, on the other hand, does not. And what's worse, today's GOP is far more vicious than the GOP from the late '90s.
You're absolutely right: it'll be a non-stop witch hunt and media circus all rolled into one. The last thing we need, what with all our problems right now.

Any campaign/candidate with a propensity for cheating, i.e., ignoring the rules? Fox meet henhouse!

(11,945 posts)I cannot believe there aren't greater precautions at voting/caucus places, given what we've seen at the Iowa and Nevada caucuses, not to mention Bill Clinton in MA.

(6,007 posts)if the Democratic party machine were getting out the message of their most electable candidate, instead of trying their usual losing ways.
Haven't they LOST 900 Democratically held offices under the leadership of DWS?
Here's the IMPORTANT question -- do they really want to win?
I guess that should be more precise, do they really want a Democrat to win, or do they just want one of the elites to win, irrespective of party?
JDPriestly
(57,936 posts)The DNC wants the passage of the TPP. There is big money in that. Lots of jobs for former members of Congress.
Losing the 2014 mid-term election made passing the TPP easier for Democrats.
I know that is a crazy sounding idea, but it just does not seem to want to leave my brain.
I hope it is just a crazy conspiracy theory, but . . . .
2014 was the worst, most absent Democratic campaign that I can recall in a long time, but maybe I was just busy with other things.
