It is a lot of the same and no real in depth discussion.

I would love to see them sitting down at a table, discussing the ins and outs of their proposals, with a whiteboard; or have the two hours on ONE/TWO topics where they actually defend their positions.

That would be a debate.

These debates are hit and run sound bytes, which is pathetic; but much better than the GOP.

It's amazing to me that's not part of the debate format.

Also, recycling many of the same questions from every debate is frustrating. You end up with maybe 20% new content if you're lucky.

She reinforced my concern about Bernie's stand on trade. She's still a weaker general election candidate, but he ain't bullet proof exactly.

My only consolation is that they're both getting toughened up for November

So refreshing to hear serious dialog about free trade agreements and the ExIm bank, and campaign finance reform. They were both very strong tonight.

I thought he actually answered better on fracking but they are both miles ahead of the Republicans.

I think Bernie won on substance, while missing a huge number of opportunities (or just passing them up) to land critical blows. If he kept up the same energy he had during the first 20 minutes throughout the rest of the debate, I'd say he just flat-out won, period.

I think Hillary won by typical debate standards of style and delivery though. (Even if half of that style was just saying, "I want to go further!," "I want to tear down barriers!," "Obama!," "We're in vigorous agreement!," "That was in the 90s"--which of course means, "Let's not talk about my record unless it benefits me"--etc.)

She was caught off-guard on a couple of points, particularly about her recent fundraiser. That was a weak moment for her.

But to me Bernie always wins. The only things inspiring about Hillary IMO are the fact she would be the first woman President, and she has worked hard to get where she is. But when Bernie is so much better on the issues, I support him 100%. And to those who say they vote the same way 95% of the time, there could be clear differences on health care, minimum wage, free college, Wall Street/banking, and even starting war.
