Stop laughing Democrats!

As the GOP goes down in flames, your post-Bernie civil war is almost here

While the Republicans compare dick sizes and howl at the moon, the fight for the Democratic Party is just starting

excerpt-

So the Republican Party has finally turned against Donald Trump, the monster it created, in an excess of self-righteous hypocrisy. It’s a classic case of what historian Ian Kershaw once described as “the sinking ship leaving the rat.” Anytime you trot out Mitt Romney to accuse someone else — literally anyone else — of being a fraud and a phony who is trying to play the American people for suckers, you have officially triggered on the Historical Irony alarm. But here’s what I have to say to gleeful Democrats, eagerly looking forward to a November massacre: Laugh, fools, laugh! Because the crazy is coming for you too. When you look in the bathroom mirror, what’s that mad glint in your eye? I know it’s hard to see, because someone has written REDRUM across the mirror in lipstick over and over again, and the writing looks familiar somehow.

I’m not saying we will see a Democratic debate, in 2016 or 2024 or any other year, when the frontrunner will feel compelled to discuss his or her genital organs. (If Hillary Clinton actually makes a joke about that within the next week, and more or less lands it, I promise not to say anything mean about her for an entire month.) But a more polite version of the Republican knife fight is waiting to happen, and in some ways has already begun. The post-Bernie landscape is fraught with danger for the electoral left, and also with opportunity. You can feel both of those things in the combination of smugness and high anxiety found among Hillary Clinton supporters, who are not content to be victorious but must also seek to prove the unprovable thesis that their Potemkin political party is “progressive” and that their victory points toward the future rather than the past.

For the better part of 20 years, the Liberal wing has been told to make sacrifices so that we could get past the GOP that , sadly, does have a spell on many people's minds. However, a part of that agreement was that once these folks snuck past the gate, they would at least try tilt things to the left. Bill made tries, though he tried to protect his power and those of his friends at the same time. Obama kept trying to appeal to the better side of the GOP (though one can never discount the fact he was doing emergency triage on a nation that W. cut and hacked.)

However, Hillary could have shown that she learned from 2008, but who does she put in, the exact came cabal of bad council from 2008, especially DWS who frankly would have been drummed out of the party if she did not have Hillary's favor. Yes yes, some will say Obama picked her, but it is well known that Debbie threatened to call him a sexist and anti-semite, a song that would have played well in many circles, especially those that never wanted him.

Were it not for Bernie Sanders, she might still be supporting the TPP and KXL, hell, many of us who know her fully expect her to support those measures, which her state dept had it's hands in, before the inaugural champagne even has a chance to get warm. While some Hillary people are trying to unify, there have been many who brag on other sites that we need to get rid of the left, and we know they intend to make good on that. The same people that will ask for our help in November will already celebrate and be happy to be rid of us. Yes, Trumpo would hate us more..but sooner or later, we realize that if pour hom,e treats us like an enemy, we will lose a lot of the will and skill to fight.

It takes two to tango. I'm not going to be part of a revenge-driven "civil war" after Hillary is our party's nominee.

"Your civil war is almost here"... ?

Are you imagining "us" getting all excited and say, 'oh boy!' ??? That's a departure from reality.

Maybe they'll drop us a note now and then telling us how it's going.

This tent has gotten too big.
And sure, I might be forced into supporting the woman who wants to ship the job I trained for overseas, but I will not support the democratic party afterwards.
I'm too young to feel this angry with the party that I thought espoused liberal beliefs; and screwing American jobs, supporting military interventions in foreign nations, and lying through one's goddamn teeth do not a Democrat make.

HAVE taken over the Democratic Party in all these years. Take note: Nor have they ever managed to form their own party and keep it going long enough to establish their own name associated with a pattern of achievement.

That's why they covet the Democratic Party organization, once they've gutted it of Democrats, not understanding ...well themselves.

They're too few, mercifully far smaller in number than liberals, and also fatally lacking in stability and the ability to form lasting alliances. Given their striking need to villainize opponents, it's hardly surprising that it's always ultimately under the bus with each other too after disagreements arise.

Their commitment to goals is also typically changeable, the goals themselves often also ending up under the bus, as witness all those prepared to abandon support for progressive government if it is lead by whatever horrible, awful, no good, very bad liberal opponent they lost to this time!

Btw, there are progressive organizations out there to the left of the Democratic Party. If people don't know their names or those of any of their candidates, maybe that could change if you went and took over one of them. Maybe start small and see how it works out?

It's not, and it doesn't.
