10% in
Sanders 54%, Clinton 45%
If this holds, it suggests northern African Americans are voting differently from those in the South, which would be a game changer.

(11,605 posts)NYT has Bernie up in Wayne County by about 2,000 votes, and holding his own in the other counties around Detroit. Is there another source that is more up to date?

(22,336 posts)If they were the Grosse Pointes or something, then it doesn't speak much for the county as a whole.

(800 posts)and she's up by six points. Not much of a gap so far, and he's competitive in Oakland and Macomb to the north.

(22,336 posts)He's doing way better there than was expected. And the rest of the state is very heavily tilted toward Sanders. I didn't think Sanders had much of a chance at our state! This is one of the more exciting elections I've watched come in.

Im looking on the Wayne County clerks website to try to get an idea of where the vote is being reported from in Wayne County. It seems, at least as of earlier this hour, that Detroit was at 0 percent. The nearly uniformly white areas of Grosse Pointe Shores and Plymouth were at 100 percent. In other words, the percentages coming out of Wayne County right now dont really reflect how black areas are voting.
