A recent Quinnipiac poll shows 67% of the people find Clinton "not honest and trustworthy,"

Last edited Wed Mar 9, 2016, 06:44 PM - Edit history (1)

59% of the people find Trump "not honest and trustworthy." This shows that more people
trust Trump than Clinton!

The same poll shows 68% of the people find Bernie Sanders "honest and trustworthy."

Or as she called it "The automotive bailout".

When you have a trust issue with the voters you probably should not blatantly lie/distort your opponent in a debate.

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2015/11/new-poll-shows-60-of-americans-think-hillary-clinton-is-untrustworthy-and-dishonest.html

I guess that it does to show that if a politician keeps lying that that number at 60% can get worse.

When the GOP get done with her. should she survive the primary, I'm sure they can push it over 70% with all the dishonest stuff they'd have in the can for her already.

Is Hillary Clinton authentic enough for voters?
Large majority doesn’t trust Clinton
Voters seek empathy, consistency, trust
Flip flopping undermines candidates

Liar. Dishonest. Untrustworthy.

Those were the top words people used to describe Hillary Clinton in a recent survey. That’s political Kryptonite, because to get elected president, voters have to believe you’re authentic. If a candidate can’t meet the three tests of authenticity – empathy, consistency and trust – they rarely win. Among recent presidents, only Richard Nixon, once labeled as Tricky Dick and lampooned in a poster asking, “Would you buy a used car from this man,” managed to win without meeting the standards.

Convincing people you’ve got the qualities of authenticity is critical, because voters are picking not only a head of government but also the head of state. “We are voting for essentially our national symbol,” said Scott Huffmon, director of the Winthrop University Poll in Rock Hill, S.C.

The challenge for candidates such as Clinton is particularly important among young voters, keenly skeptical of stereotypical politicians and more wary of the political establishment. Someone born in the 1980s or later has only known a federal government and a political system marred by congressional gridlock, an impeached president and highly unpopular wars.

“Authenticity is huge” with younger voters, said Kei Kawashima-Ginsberg, director of CIRCLE, which studies youth voting trends. It’s not simply a matter of candor and approachability.
....

Authenticity matters, said Winthrop’s Huffmon. “People don’t tend to understand policy in a very deep fashion,” he said. “Leadership is very much about trust.”

Hillary has a big problem that makes it very difficult for her to win the White House - if she survives the primary. Her only hope is the GOP nominate someone people hate or distrust more.

has ever won a seat with those negatives. And I love how the blind party loyalists continue to whistle past the graveyard here. It's why we have to get Bernie the nomination otherwise it WILL be President Trump. The prols are no longer going to share in their demise.

the first term of his presidency. I simply googled "Bush and Psychopathy" I tried it
again today, about a dozen years later, and managed to find one. Bush was a student
at Harvard, he lied before the whole class. The professor, a Japanese citizen, was there.
At the end of the class Bush denied that he had made a statement he had made before
the whole class just a few minutes earlier. (A totally unnecessary lie, it was, too).
The professor was a Japanese citizen, and he remained one.

Years later when Jr. was running for the presidency, this professor made the special effort
to become an American citizen, because he intended to do his best to prevent Bush
from becoming president. As a foreigner he carried no weight, but as a US citizen, he'd
have more clout.

The professor simply couldn't accept the idea that such a liar should be allowed to run
for president of the US, and he did his best to prevent it from happening, but, of course,
he failed.

I'm glad I found a link after all these years. It wasn't the same link, but the main
story is there.

do keep going on about how Hillary is the best choice because she is the most electable. She isn't even trusted by many of her own party, how is she going to play with Indies?
