(24,411 posts)Bernie is brilliant and he is a great campaigner. I've been impressed that some of his political ninja moves (calling her bluff on the data breach issue, fighting back on the "fake photo" lie; repeatedly pressing for her transcripts, etc).
However, thst scumbag Brock tried to Swifboat Bernie, and I don't think you can let that stand.
Bernie is a good guy who has been fighting for "the little guy" for decades. Campaigning, PR and messaging require specific skill sets. He needs someone like A-Rod.
I think there is a shit-ton going on behind the scenes too. I think the Clintons are bullies with many enemies who wouldn't dare criss them publicly. But that doesn't mean that em they won't help behind the scenes. I also wonder if there's stuff happening with the email investigation.

(2,227 posts)was so completely awful. they are flailing right now because they cant be that stupid. If Hillary keeps going down the road she's on, who know where this will end up. Brock and company look like they are beating up puppies and kittens and it cant work. I think they know that but they cant help themselves, its who they are.

(14,559 posts)like this, it seemed false, like she was purposely slinging mud.
And, don't get me wrong, if there's actual mud to sling, go ahead. But when there isn't? Don't try and force it. Just argue your positions.

(65,227 posts)things that could be twisted to look like anti-auto industry positions to sling at Bernie before the Michigan vote.
CoffeeCat
(24,411 posts)They dug into Bernie's past, pre-Detroit and decided to lie about his auto bailout support. Clinton and her slime machine figured they'd catch him off guard, spew the lie and lean on the media to hammer the taking point until it's ingrained.
But it backfired in Detroit.
She pulled the same slimy shit in Florida. I'm not going to repeat the bullshit oppo-research that she spewed at the debate. We all know what the lies are.
The new lies aren't about the auto bailout. They're new lies that target constituencies in Florida.
She's a snake. She offers nothing but smears targeted to hurt Bernie with whatever demographic(s) is (are) voting in the next primary(ies). These distractions and smears that have no bearing on the big issues facing this country.
Her campaign is a foundation of bullshit oppo-research smears and ideas stolen from Bernie.
She's pathetic.

(11,945 posts)She'll get this odd little smile and then launch into it like a routine; it just pops out, breaking the flow of the debate/dialogue. What gets me is that she seems to enjoy doing it. There is something pathological about taking pleasure in lying and harming others.
Again, we do not need this, and we should not have it, in the presidency.

(24,411 posts)I believe this helped Bernie in Michigan.
3/4 of this country does not trust her. They vote for her because they believe she's inevitable.
Well, guess what--Michigan and some of the other recent states that Bernie has won--show that she's not inevitable if we get on board with Bernie.
He can win.
Once people hear his message--which is positive, full of ideas and very proactive about real change in our failing economic and campaign-finance system--they love it!
Her support is soft. Many who vote for her don't even trust her. There's a better alternative and I think people are waking up to that.
The dominoes are falling on Clinton's flimsy, lackluster campaign.

(9,865 posts)It's not the behavior of the usual spin doctor. He's gone out of his way to say this. It burns bridges for him within the Democratic machine.

(24,411 posts)realky think of her. They know her best. They all know that she's no Progressive and that the bulk of her campaign rhetoric is laughable lies.
You gotta wonder what Obama really thinks about her. Obama may be a centrist on some issues, but he's a decent person. He's not a narcissist like HRC is.

(17,656 posts)The next woman who runs for President will undoubtedly be compared to Hillary.
And the first thing people will say is "well, here comes another Hillary."
It is a travesty that Hillary has to lie so blatantly this way, to the point she can't be taken seriously anymore.

(14,177 posts)I am pretty sure the next woman running is not going to be seen as the next Hillary anymore than Bernie is seen as the next Mittens.
